Piney Grove Baptist Church Ministry Procedures
To: PGBC Ministry Leaders and Family Members From: Todd C. Davidson, Pastor
Re: Ministry Procedures
Date: March 2005
Grace and Blessings to each of you! I pray that all is well with you and those you hold dear! The following are some guiding principles by which we might engage in the ministry services that we have been called to carry out. Prayerfully, these procedures will assist us in avoiding confusion and calamity, while promoting cohesiveness and communication. May GOD continue to bless and keep each of you in HIS care and may Heaven smile upon you and your family!
Ministry Procedures for Ideas becoming Activities/Services:
1. Pray for GOD’S guidance concerning the thought, idea, or initiative.
2. Bring the proposal to the attention of your ministry leader and ministry co-laborers.
3. Develop a written plan/strategy that details the service/activity that is agreed upon by the ministry at-large, with a goal for engaging in the service.
4. Submit the plan to the Chairman of the Deacon’s ministry for pastoral approval.
Ø This can be done in mass, with a listing of proposed/potential activities accompanied by their goal(s).
Ø If the plan involves receiving finances from your ministry account, follow the appropriate procedures after receiving pastoral approval
5. Provide a plan of action thirty-days prior to the activity date to the Chairman of the Deacon’s ministry for final pastoral approval
Ø When this is not in place, it automatically postpones the activity until a time when the thirty-day “plan of action” can be given.
6. Work your plan and bring glory to GOD!
