The Bible Is Our Standard

Mission Statement

 

The mission of this ministry, the Christian Women's Fellowship Ministry of Piney Grove Baptist Church is to give Godly information and instruction to the participants on the importance of women in the Bible; women relating to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; women seeking daily help by way of Jesus Christ, to live more effectively, respectfully and righteously.

 

Time is allowed for a devotional period that will include prayers, songs and praise. The theme of this ministry is "Wise Women Bearing Gifts-Joys And Struggles Of Their Faith".

 

Subject matters consist of the following:

 

  1. Women of today relating to biblical women, sharing their triumphs and failure's.

  2. Women facing the problems of today with Jesus Christ as their leader.

  3. Bringing up children and families in a christian way.

  4. The importance of the woman's role in the church.

  5. Opportunities within the church for women.

  6. Helping each other as sister's in Christ.

  7. Aiding the young christian woman.

  8. Aiding the older christian woman.

  9. Effectual prayer's and fasting.

  10. The importance of the knowledge of the scripture's.

This Ministry is open to all women over the age of 19. Future plans for this ministry include: a yearly retreat for meditation, reflection, prayer and fellowship; interaction with other ministries and christian women group's.

We will meet twice a month, on the second (2nd) and fourth (4th) Thursday at 7:00 p.m., in the multi-purpose room of Piney Grove Baptist Church. We will utilize the Bible, christian books and pamphlets, video tapes and charts for our growth in this ministry.

All instructions of this ministry will be taught and discussed with God's presence, prayer's and blessing's. The Pastor, Christian Education Ministry and the Administrative Ministry will always have full knowledge of the activities and instruction's of this ministry. Lesson plans will be available.
